Comments: The whispering gallery of Grand Central Terminal
My family and I discovered the Whispering Gallery this past Saturday while on a Grand Central scavenger hunt. Although I was born and reared in NYC, I had never heard of the Whispering Gallery. We were so blown away that we went back (at the suggestion of my 11 year old) after the scavenger hunt was over. We fooled around for a while, and I grabbed a couple of foreign tourists out of a group to show them how it works. Despite a language barrier, I was able to get them into it. One of the ladies in the group let out such a shriek of delight when she heard her friend on the other corner that I thought the cops would come running. I called my cousin in Philadelphia to tell her about it, too. The Whispering Gallery of Grand Central Terminal will no longer be a secret thanks to me!
