Comments: Amtrak exploring wi-fi options for train travel

Amtrak was definitely testing Wi-Fi on the trains about 3 months ago. It was erratic, but I managed to use it. No idea where they've gone with it.

I'm taking a train journey from NY to vegas this summer, I couldn't believe it when they said I wouldn't have internet fpr 40hours... well and truly behind the rest of the world I have to say. The UK had it in 2002!

I travel from Denver, Colorado to Provo, Utah every during the Christmas Holidays (See my train video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsMNpB2rOxI )a 12 hour train trip over the Rocky Mountains and I can
occasionally get into a wi fi hot spot at some stops along the route with my lap top computer such as Grand Junction, Granby and Glenwood Springs, Colorado, but a consistent and reliable wi fi service would be nice along the route!
