Comments: NYC building up to a dozen more kayak launch sites
Of course while the city's talking more launches, the Hudson River Park Trust has managed to cut small-craft access in the Hudson River Park quite substantially - Pier 63 (now Pier 66) - after news earlier in the spring that seemed to promise boating & bargeburgers by summer, the barge & related boathouse are in limbo. I don't know the entire back story but it seems like the big L-word keeps coming up. You know, liability...
At any rate, the poor folks who were all actually hoping for a season there are now all in limbo.
