just an FYI, about 6-9 months ago they raised the price to $1.75. while tasty, definitely NOT worth the lines - try hitting it off hours for less madness.

The one time I went to Magnolia Bakery, a friend of mine from out of town demanded that we make the trip from Brooklyn (by car) right before they were about to close. I should mention that it was also pouring down rain! We managed to get a 1/2 dozen before they shut the doors. Even at 10pm there was still a line!
