Black Eyed Peas free concert rescheduled to Sept. 30
Update as of Sept. 30: Tickets are required for the free Black Eyed Peas concert and they are all sold out. However, the show will be livestreamed online.
The rained-out June 9 Black Eyed Peas’ Central Park concert has been rescheduled for Sept. 30, organizers announced this week.
The concert will remain mostly free, but tickets will be required. Fans who won free tickets or purchased VIP seats should get email updates by Aug. 26. No information is available regarding new batches of free tickets for the Sept. 30 show.
VIP tickets for the Sept. 30 show are on sale from $100.
The concert was set up to benefit the anti-poverty group the Robin Hood Foundation and to set up Black Eyed Peas’ Peapod Academies in NYC.
“We are so thankful to Robin Hood, the City of New York, Central Park Conservancy and Chase for allowing us to reschedule this special experience in Central Park,” will.i.am said Wednesday in a press release announcing the band’s new Central Park date. “We were sad beyond words that our last show was canceled and we weren’t able to perform for this city and help people in need.”
