2011streetpianomapnycEighty-eight street pianos will pop-up across New York City - from the Coney Island Boardwalk and the Central Park Bandshell to Times Square and the AirTrain Terminal near JFK - according to the complete map posted at the Sing for Hope website.

The pianos will hit the street June 18 and remain available for the public to play for free through July 2.

Other Manhattan locations include Bryant Park, Lincoln Center, Tompkins Square Park, Astor Place, City Hall Park and the Harlem Art Park.

In Queens, pianos will be at the Unisphere, Jackson Heights Post Office, Louis Armstrong House, Newtown Creek Visitor Center, Fort Totten Park and Gantry Plaza State Park.

Brooklyn locations include the Dumbo Archway, Prospect Park Carousel, Grand Army Plaza, Fort Greene Park, John Paul Jones Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Bushwick.

Staten Island pianos will be placed at Snug Harbor, the South Beach Boardwalk, Historic Richmond Town, Clay Pit Ponds State Park, Staten Island Yankees Stadium and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

In the Bronx, Fordham Plaza, Arthur Avenue, Crotona Park, Van Cortland Park and the Owen Dolen Golden Age Center will get pianos.

Although the pianos can be played for free, Sing for Hope will be asking people to text PIANO to 50555 to donate $5 to help them bring the arts to schools, hospitals and communities year-round.
