Winter hotel deals from $79 for New York City
With the holidays over — and another blizzard on the way — it should be no surprise that hotel rates are dropping for the winter. A slew of hotels have packages for less than $200 per night, while several are even under $100 nightly.
Rooms start at $79 at The Jane through February. In March, rates climb to $99 per night.
Hotel Pennsylvania’s $99 winter promotion can be booked online through Jan. 31st for stays through March 31.
The Ameritania on W. 54th Street is also touting winter rates from $99.
On West 57th Street, the Salisbury Hotel has rates from $129 through March 21.
The recently reopened Milford Plaza near Times Square continues to offer its Grand Re-Opening Special Offer of $99 through February. In march, the special rate rises to $129.
Nearby, even the $99-a-day Hotel Carter has dropped its online rate to $75.
The Portland Square Hotel, which is slowly is transforming into the Sanctuary Hotel, still has sneak-peek rates from $149 to $249 per night through Jan. 31.
Hudson Hotel’s Hudson Bar Package, from $159, includes a room and two drink coupons per room, per day to the Hudson Bar and Library Bar.
At The New Yorker, the “Stay Warm in NY” package starts at $159 and includes a “view” room, breakfast for two at the Tick Tock diner and a $15 Starbucks gift card.
The Haute Chocolate package at the Apple Core hotels in Midtown offers hot chocolates from Jacques Torres and rooms from $163.
The Flatotel near Rockefeller Center is offering rooms in January from $165 with breakfast included.
The small Country Inn the City has winter rates from $150.
The Brooklyn Bridge Marriott has nightly rates from $169 on two-night stays from Jan. 21 until Jan. 23.
The Benjamin Hotel sale, which ends today, offers rooms from $174 on stays through March 31.
The new Aloft Harlem’s winter getaway package, good through March, starts at $219 per night and includes a $25 food/beverage credit.
Quikbook’s NYC hotel deals currently include Fashion 26 from $144, Wyndham Garden Times Square South from $149, the Park South Hotel from $155, and the Desmond Tutu Center from $159.
The Third Night program, coordinated through the city’s official tourism and marketing group, offers three nights for the price of two through March 7 at several deluxe properties including The Carlyle, The Chatwal, The Peninsula, The Plaza, The Setai Fifth Avenue and the Waldorf Towers.
The Pod Hotel is offering a $111.11 deal for queen rooms booked on 1/11/11. Reservations will be accepted by phone “for one hour and eleven minutes starting at 1:11 PM on January 11th,” according to an e-mail to NewYorkology from The Pod. Starwood Hotels is also doing a 1/11/11 event, but it’s for giveaways on trips to Florida and the Caribbean. The event is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. at Citi Pond at Bryant Park.
