Jonas Brothers kick off GMA free morning concert series
The free, “Good Morning America” 2010 Summer Concert Series will begin Friday in Central Park with the Jonas Brothers, ABC announced.
The concerts, usually held Friday mornings from 7 to 9 a.m., are open to the public. They take place at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. Fans are encouraged to use the 72nd Street entrance on Fifth Avenue when the park opens at 6 a.m.
The GMA Central Park concert lineup for 2010:
May 21 - Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, Camp Rock 2
May 28 - Sugarland
June 4 - Diddy, Dirty Money
June 11 - Norah Jones and Sarah McLachlan
June 18 - Miley Cyrus
June 25 - Alicia Keys
July 2 - Mary J. Blige
July 9 – (to be announced) American Idol’s Top 10
July 16 – The GO-GO’S Broadway Cast of “American Idiot”
July 23 - Sheryl Crow
July 30 - Black Eyed Peas
Aug. 6 - John Legend and the Roots
Aug. 13 - Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, Camp Rock 2
Aug. 20 - Rihanna Usher
August 27 - Lady Antebellum
Update as of July 8: The schedule was updated with the American Idol addition, the Go-Go’s cancellation, and the Jonas Brothers Aug. 13 date (which has been listed on the ABC site all along, but has looked suspicious as it’s a duplicate of the May 21 listing. The Jonas Brothers do have a Aug. 13 show in nearby Hartford.)
Update as of July 15: “American Idiot” and John Legend and the Roots have been added to the schedule.
Update as of Aug. 20: Usher has replaced Rihanna for Aug. 20 on GMA.
