Italian design museum to open in Midtown in May

triennalelogo.jpgThe Milan-based Triennale Design Museum has signed a 15-year lease to open a branch in Midtown Manhattan in May, Crain’s and the Post reported Tuesday.

The Triennale Design Museum will move into the multi-level space at 40 W. 53rd Street formerly used by the Museum of Arts & Design before it moved to Columbus Circle. The new Italian museum will be located across the street from the Museum of Modern Art.
