$20 Off-Broadway deal: 20at20 returns Jan. 25 - Feb. 7

20logo2009.jpgMore than 20 Off-Broadway shows — including “The Emperor Jones,” “Zero Hour” and “Love, Loss and What I Wore” — will offer $20 tickets through the 20at20 program from Jan. 25 through Feb. 7.

Those dates overlap exactly with Winter Restaurant Week, in which a couple hundred of the city’s best restaurants offer three-course set menu’s for $35 at dinner or $24.07 at lunch (plus tax, tip and beverage.) However, most restaurants opt-out of the deal on weekends.

The $20 Off-Broadway tickets are sold at each theater’s box office, starting 20 minutes before curtain. Whatever hasn’t sold by then is a mere $20 if you say “20at20.”

Other shows taking part include “Ages of the Moon,” “Fuerza Bruta,” “Dear Edwina,” “Gazillion Bubble Show,” “Black Angels Over Tuskegee,” “Venus in Fur” and “NEWSical the Musical.”
