NYC-centric shopping deals: Black Friday and beyond
The holiday shopping bell has rung and Black Friday deals are well under way. Here’s a roundup of some of the New York City shops offering deals through the weekend, for Cyber Monday and some right up through Christmas Eve.
Architectural salvage shop Olde Good Things is offering 20 percent off almost everything online — including bookends made from Coney Island Boardwalk wood — and up to 50 percent off some items in store through Dec. 23.
The MoMA Design Store is offering free shipping on orders over $125 if placed by Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET. Use offer code 9SHP2.
The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe is offering 30 percent off its entire stock on Black Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Met Museum store offers 20 percent off orders of $50 or more through Use offer code K720.
Both J&R and B&H PhotoVideo have Black Friday deals.
Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey has 25 percent off everything in all their stores through Sunday.
On Cyber Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can get 50 percent off all signature NYC items in the NYCshop.com, the Official Shop of New York City.
Starting today, the Brooklyn Flea moves its Gifted holiday market to the former Tower Records Annex in Manhattan at E. 4th Stree and Lafayette through Dec. 24.
Other seasonal holiday markets have already opened at Bryant Park, Union Square and Grand Central Terminal.
The seasonal Wired pop-up shop is open in the MeatPacking District. Also new on the scene is a new 24-hour Best Buy at Union Square and an Upper West Side Apple store.
The Alliance for Downtown New York’s 5 Days of Food & Finds — from Dec. 7 through 11 — will offer gifts with purchase and free desserts or appetizers at downtown restaurants.
A number of Red Hook businesses are taking part in a Red Friday shopping deal day on Black Friday.
