Mamet's 'Oleanna' to close on Broadway on Jan. 3

oleannaonbroadway.jpgUpdate: “Oleanna” will close even earlier than previously announced. The final performance will be Dec. 6.

David Mamet’s “Oleanna” — starring Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles — will end its Broadway run Jan. 3.

The he-said she-said play set on a college campus amid a wave of political-correctness was first staged off-Broadway in 1992. The current Broadway production opened in October to mixed reviews.

“Oleanna” plays at the Golden Theatre, 252 W. 45th St., map. Regular tickets are priced from $76.50 to $116.50 with premium seats for $201.50. Same-day student rush tickets are available for $25 at the box office.
