New Amsterdam Market draws crowds to South Street

newamsterdammarket.jpg

newamsterflowers.jpgBig crowds turned out Sunday for the first New Amsterdam Market of the season, offering everything from Balthazar bread and heirloom seeds to Concorde grape sorbet and homemade Creamsicles.

The amped-up farmer’s market set up shop next to the old Fulton Fish Market on South Street.

The market will return Oct. 25, Nov. 22 and Dec. 20.
