Jerry Springer to join nightly brawl in 'Chicago' as Billy
Talk-show host Jerry Springer will take on the role of shady lawyer Billy Flynn in Broadway’s “Chicago,” according to Telecharge, the official ticketing site for the musical.
Springer will take the stage Aug. 18 through Sept. 6, except for performances on Aug. 24 and 31 .
Springer previously tackled the role in London’s West End and will play the same in the U.S. touring production while in Philadelphia and Atlanta, according to Playbill.
The original Broadway run of “Chicago” in 1975 featured Jerry Orbach as Billy Flynn.
The revival production of “Chicago” has been on Broadway since November 14, 1996. It plays the Ambassador Theatre, located at 215 W. 49th St., map.
Regular tickets are priced form $64 to $141.50 with premium seats for $186.50. Rush seats are $31.50 and standing room tickets are sold for $26.50 if the theater is otherwise sold out.
