$20 Off-Broadway tickets in September for 20at20

20logo2009.jpgOff-Broadway’s bringing back the $20 ticket — for two weeks only, and for only 20 minutes before curtain.

The 20at20 Off-Broadway ticket deal, from Sept. 8 through Sept. 20, will offer the cheap seats to shows including “The Toxic Avenger Musical,” “Stomp,” “Gazillion Bubble Show,” “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” “Puppetry of the Penis,” “Altar Boyz,” “Fuerza Bruta” and “The Fantasticks.”

More than 25 shows have thus far signed on to take part.

The discounted tickets are available only at each theater’s box office starting 20 minutes before the show, as long as it hasn’t already sold out. Though you do have to ask for the “20at20” price.

Regular tickets to those shows are usually in the $25 to $80 range.
