Time Out cheap eats for 2009 picks best new $10 meals

New York magazine isn’t the only publication out with food deals this week, as the Time Out New York’s Cheap Eats issue has hit the stands as well.

Time Out concentrates on meals under $10 at new places such as Arepa Arepa, Bouley Bakery and the Manhattan location of Defonte’s of Brooklyn.

There are also short pick lists for hot dogs, dumplings, falafel and pizza.

Also of note, the best of the neighborhoods guides includes a Chinatown list by New York Times reporter and “The Fortune Cookie Chronicles” author Jennifer 8. Lee.
