New dates added for museum sleepovers for kids
The American Museum of Natural History on Tuesday announced additional dates for its popular “A Night at the Museum” sleepover program, which allows kids the chance to sleep under the big blue whale and trek the halls by flashlight.
The cost is $129 per person and is open to children ages 8 to 12 years old, plus their chaperones. The price also includes an evening snack and light breakfast; an IMAX film; and access to the live-animal special exhibition or a live-animal presentation.
The new sleepover dates:
Friday, August 7
Friday, August 21
Friday, September 11
Saturday, September 26
Friday, October 2 (Boy Scout Night)
Saturday, October 24 (Third Annual Halloween Costume Sleepover)
Friday, November 6 (Girl Scout Night)
Saturday, November 21
Of the previously announced dates, July 25 is still available.
Other museums and zoos in New York do occasional sleepovers as well. The Bronx Zoo’s next Family Overnight Safaris are scheduled for September 12 and 26, but both dates are full and have gone to a waitlist.
