VIP auctions: Broadway backstage to Agassi's US Open
VIP New York is yours for the taking — from a private U.S. Open tête-à-tête with Andre Agassi to a table for eight at Rao’s — merely for a contribution to a worthy charity.
A number of auction sites can get you into Fashion Week, backstage on Broadway, ono the set of “30 Rock,” or even high up a crane in the Brooklyn container port.

You can meet meet John Stamos backstage after a “Bye Bye Birdie” performance on Broadway. The current bid, which includes a pair of Broadway tickets, is $450. Proceeds will benefit Project Cuddle, a non-profit charity dedicated to preventing infants from being abandoned by their mothers.
Broadway Cares Online Auctions routinely offers signed merchandise and an occasional meet-and-greet. Current offerings include a “Sweeney Todd” opening night meat pie baking dish; a 2005 Tony Awards Playbill signed by Hugh Jackman; “RENT” authentic Angel Schunard costume zebra belt; and an “Exit The King” poster signed by the full cast.
Broadway Cares benefits individuals in the entertainment industry with critical health issues, including HIV/AIDS.
Later this month, PortSide NewYork will auction a tour for two led by American Stevedoring up to the top of a gantry crane in the Red Hook containerport.
