Greek food fest at U.N. Delegates' Dining Room

unitednationsflags.jpg

The United Nations Delegates Dining Room on Monday kicked off a two-week lunchtime festival devoted to the food and drink of Greece.

The all-you-can-eat international buffet and dessert bar is priced at $27.30 plus tax and tip. Beverages also cost extra.

For U.N. food festivals, the sponsoring country usually flies in its own chefs and special ingredients. The Greek food fest runs through June 26.

The dining room is open to the public for weekday lunch service only. Reservations are normally required at least 24 hours in advance, but the food fest reservations require at least 48-hours notice, (212) 963-7625. All diners must show identification and be sure to allow extra time to clear security at the main security tent at 46th Street and First Avenue, map.

Jackets are required for men, and there is a prohibition on tennis shoes, jeans, jean skirts and jean jackets.
