queensborobridge2009oldcars.JPG

The Queensboro Bridge turned 100 years old this year and the city today kicked off a week’s worth of events to celebrate the span’s centennial.

Tours, lectures, concerts and a Grucci fireworks show are all on the schedule.

The fireworks are scheduled for tonight at 9:15 p.m. from the tip of Roosevelt Island.
