Philharmonic sets six free summer concerts for July '09

The New York Philharmonic’s July calendar has been filled in for six nights of free Concerts in the Park performances.

Six of the four concerts are also scheduled to get post-performance fireworks displays.

Dates and locations are all that’s available yet, as the Philharmonic’s website states “program details and additional concert information will be announced later this spring.”

Tuesday, July 14 at 8 p.m.
The Great Lawn, Central Park

Wednesday, July 15 at 8 p.m.

In March, the NY Philharmonic notified the Islip Arts Council that budget constraints would prevent it from playing its free concert on Long Island this summer.
