W Hoboken opens on Hudson with rooms from $189
Frank Sinatra’s hometown finally has its first luxury hotel, as the W Hoboken opened its doors today with a special rate of $189 per night.
Its restaurant, fitness facility and Bliss Spa are already open, and the Chandelier Room bar has an April 9 opening date.
Almost all of the hotel’s 225 guest rooms and suites are ready for occupancy. When complete, the W Hoboken will offer 20 Fantastic Suites, two WOW suites, and one Extreme WOW suite.
The rooms, designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, feature feather beds with goose down duvet and pillows, 350-thread-count sheets, spa robes, oversized desks, high-speed wireless Internet, iPod docks and flat-screen TVs. The suites come with with floor-to-ceiling protruding bay windows with views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline.
The restaurant, Zylo, is billed as a Tuscan steakhouse and features “an interactive salumeria,” an artisanal cheese bar and serves pastas, pizzas as well as organic and grass-fed beef.
The 4,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor Chandelier Room plans to host special events with world-renowned DJs.
