Totonno's pizza hopes to reopen in six weeks after fire

totonnospie.jpgFamed coal-oven pizzeria Totonno’s of Coney Island aims to reopen in six weeks after a Saturday morning fire caused extensive damage, NY1 is reporting this morning.

The fire started at 9:30 a.m. in the oven and spread to the roof, where it caused extensive damage, the Daily News reported. Totonno’s, open since 1924, is one of only a handful of coal-oven pizza places in New York City.
