Pierre to reopen June 1 with 'early-bird' rates of $816

pierrewebsite.jpgThe elegant Pierre hotel on Central Park is now taking online reservations for its anticipated June 1 reopening but the room rates start from a whopping $816 per night for a standard room, up to $2,584 for a premier suite.

And those are reduced rates for its “Early Bird Promotion,” which is non-refundable at the time of booking.

Earlier this month, The Mark started accepting online reservations for its July 6 reopening. A year ago, The Mark had boasted of its anticipated $1,000-a-night rate for standard room, but now they’re looking at $425.

But as for The Pierre, the renovation of its 189 guest rooms comes with high-speed Internet (wireless and wired,) Bose Wave Studio with iPod docking station, 40-inch flat screen high-definition TVs, DVD players and Turkish marble bathrooms with Molton Brown products.

Its restaurant, Le Caprice, will open late this summer, according to the hotel’s website.

The Pierre is located at 2 East 61st St.
