Sleepovers at Bronx Zoo, natural history museum

bronxzoo.jpgSure it’s snowing today, but now’s the time to spring your mind toward warm weather and book reservations for the Bronx Zoo’s Family Overnight Safaris.

There are only a handful of dates and they sell out fast.

That’s right, overnight in the zoo, chatting up the animals.

You’ll need to bring your own tent, sleeping bags, and picnic dinner but the $140 sleepover package provides you with dessert, a late-night snack, breakfast. “No need for alarm clocks, our vocal peacocks will provide the wake-up call,” the Zoo warns.

Children must be at least 5 years old to participate.

The remaining zoo sleepover dates: May 16, September 12 and September 26.

The American Museum of Natural History also has slots open at its upcoming sleepovers. February 6, March 7, March 20 and April 4.

The natural history museum sleepover are open to children ages 8 through 12 (plus their chaperones.) The price is $129 per person.
