JFK-LAX airline fare war with one-way rates from $105

105lax.jpgNot only will JetBlue start service between JFK and Los Angeles on June 17, but the airline has kicked off a sale with one-way fares from $105 for this summer.

Soon after the sale went live, Virgin America matched the deal, the Los Angeles Times reported.

For Virgin America, tickets must be purchased by February 8 for travel by April 1.

For JetBlue, travel must be booked by the end of February 11 for travel from June 17 through July 24. Travel must take place on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday and not all dates will offer the super-cheap fare.

Later in the day, AirTran jumped in with one-way rates of $119 between LaGuardia and Los Angeles for purchased by February 10. Travelocity also shows one-way fares from $112 between JFK-LAX on American Airlines, United and US Airways. Delta, Frontier and Northwest has fares on the route from $116.
