Vintage travel poster exhibition starts Saturday

Starting Saturday, a collection of vintage posters will go on display at Swann Auction Galleries, including a number of New York scenes that summon a more refined time of travel.
The online catalogue offers a glimpse of what will be on the Swann walls ahead of the February 5 auction. This Saturday at 3 p.m., there’s also a free walk through the exhibition with Swann’s poster specialist.
The NY-themed items include:
International Silk Show at Grand Central Palace
New York World’s Fair 1939
World’s Fair/New York 1940
Actually, the posters aren’t all about travel, nor all about New York:
