Smyth Tribeca to open Jan. 6 with rooms from $205
Thompson Hotel’s will open the doors to the Smyth Tribeca on January 6 with rooms from $205 to $2,500, according to the hotel’s website.
Located on West Broadway at Chambers, the hotel will feature free in-room wi-fi, “custom made mod furniture” bath prducts by Kiehl’s, snacks by Dean & Deluca and Zabar’s, Sferra linens, flat-screen TVs and iPod docking stations. Also, “accessories” from Kiki de Montparnasse (The company’s bestsellers webpage includes a $495 pair of handcuffs.)
Smythe will also get a restaurant and bar called Jour et Nuit.
The top of the line looks like it will be the hotel’s Tribeca Loft Luxury Penthouse Suite, which starts at $2,500 a night, plus $334.38 in taxes and “nightly fees” of $3.50 .That gets you a 1,200 square feet with an 800 square-foot terrace, full-length windows, separate dining room, a full kitchen with butler access from outside the suite and two bathrooms.
