Kimpton's Vu hotel opens Feb. 16 with rooms from $395

kimptonvu.jpgKimpton’s new Vu hotel — “the first upscale hotel in Hell’s Kitchen — is now accepting reservations from February 16 with rooms starting at $395 per night.

When complete, the boutique hotel will have 222 rooms and suites in snow whites, ruby reds and chocolate browns - plus a penthouse with roof deck and private Jacuzzi. The building is an old printing house that’s been remade by designer David Rockwell and architect Carlos Zapata.

Rooms will feature hi-speed wi-fi throughout the hotel, WebTV, flat-screen HDTV cable including HBO and Nintendo 64; in-room safe big enough for a laptop; Frette linens and L’Occitane bath products.

The Vu is located on 11th Avenue at 48th St., map.
