'Rock of Ages' on Broadway to deliver in-seat cocktails

rock-broadway.jpgOff-Broadway’s tribute to metal bands of the ’80s, “Rock of Ages,” will transfer to Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theater, the New York Times reports.

Also transferring to Broadway will be the show’s in-seat cocktail service, according to Variety.

So yes, that means you’ll be able to sit in a Broadway theater, drinking, banging your head to Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Journey, Bon Jovi and Pat Benatar.

It’s currently playing New World Stages through January 4. Broadway previews will start March 20 with opening night set for April 7.

Variety also reports that even after the transfer, Rock’s ticket price will remain below the Broadway average with prices from $46.50 to $99, with a top ticket price of $89 on weeknights and $99 for weekends.
