Delta to launch free wi-fi on Shuttle on Tuesday
Delta on Tuesday will launch its in-flight wi-fi on some of its shuttle service, which flies from New York’s LaGuardia to Boston’s Logan and Washington’s Reagan, according to the Boston Globe’s travel blog.
Dubbed Gogo, the wi-fi will be initially be free but next year will rise to $9.95 on short flights and $12.95 for flights over three hours. Gogo is operated by Aircell.
In addition to the five Delta Shuttle aircraft, one other unnamed Delta domestic Being 757 will also get the wi-fi, “with service spreading to other Delta routes as additional aircraft are introduced,” Delta said in a statement today.
American Airlines and Virgin America also offer wi-fi on some flghts. Aircell also powers those networks, according to the Washington Post.
