Teen-themed '13' to end Broadway run on Jan. 4
“13” — the first Broadway show to star an all teen-age cast and orchestra — has posted its closing notice for January 4, the show’s producers said today.
The musical focuses on 13-year-old Upper West Sider Evan Goldman whose parents divorce, landing him in Indiana where he hopes to fill his Bar Mitzvah with the cool kids at his new school.
By the time it closes, it will have played 105 regular and 22 preview performances.
“In my entire career I have never seen so much talent in a single company as I have in 13. The joy and enthusiasm of the cast and band is genuinely matched by Jason’s remarkable music and the stellar creative team. I am happy to announce that although 13 is saying goodbye to Broadway, we’ve received much interest in a national and international tour,” Bob Boyett, the show’s lead producer, said in a statement.

“13” plays the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, located at 242 W. 45th St., map. Regular tickets are priced from $76.50 to $121.50, while premium seats are $200 to $300. Student rush tickets cost $25, and if a show is sold out, standing-room tickets will go on sale for $21.50.
