Jane Fonda to return to Broadway in '33 Variations'

33variationslogo.jpgJane Fonda will return to Broadway next year as a musicologist studying the work of Beethoven, according to New York Times.

This winter, she’ll star in “33 Variations,” a new play by Moisés Kaufman, who also wrote “The Laramie Project” and directed “I Am My Own Wife.”

In 1960, she was nominated for a Tony Award in the supporting or featured actress category for “There Was a Little Girl.” Fonda was last on Broadway 46 years ago.

“33 Variations” will be a production of the Tectonic Theater Project, Broadway World reports.
