Cooper Square Hotel to open Dec. 11 with $275 rooms

Cooper Square Hotel, which has been positioning itself as an “it” hotel opening of the season, has gone live with its website and is taking reservations for December.

A call to the front desk confirmed December 11 as the targeted opening date with rooms from $275 during the soft opening.

That rate will get you the Cooper 1 or Cooper 2 room, which range from 250- to 275- square feet, and come with a king or queen bed, 32-inch LCD TV, i-pod docking station, free wi-fi and “an eclectic collection of books.”

At the high end, the Cooper 5 corner rooms on floors 10 through 20 are $450 during the soft open and get you two walls of windows, a steam shower, tub and shower combo and all the features in the smaller rooms.

Its restaurant, Table 8, is “coming soon.”
