Chelsea Gem Hotel to open with rooms from $249

gembed.jpgAmong the gaggle of hotels preparing to open in New York City, the 81-room Gem Hotel in Chelsea could be the next to roll out the carpet.

The Gem is accepting online reservations for stays starting November 30 with room rates from $249. (Though a Twitter tipster said the opening will come in “two weeks or less.”)

The rooms will feature plasma TVs, Gilchrist & Soames bath products, bath robes, free high-speed Internet in rooms, wi-fi in the lobby, and free shoe shine service.

The Gem Chelsea is located at 8th Avenue at 300 W. 22nd St., map.
