Liza Minnelli on Broadway for two weeks in December

lizaatthepalace.jpgLiza Minnelli will star in her own Broadway concert show for two weeks in December called “Liza’s at the Palace …!” where she’ll sing hits including “Cabaret” and “New York, New York.”

Performances begin December 3 and will run through December 14.

Onstage, she’ll be joined by Cortés Alexander, Jim Caruso, Tiger Martina and Johnny Rodgers, Playbill reports. Billy Stritch will lead the 12-man orchestra and costumes will be by Halston.

The concert, according to the show’s website, will be a “Minnelli songfest including many of her personal favorites and signature hits, followed by a dance-filled tribute to the groundbreaking late-1940s nightclub act of Minnelli’s godmother, Kay Thompson.”

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting October 26 at noon. Presale begins October 22 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be priced from $55 to $125. Plus, there will be a daily lottery for the $25 front-row seats.

Like the show title says, she’ll play The Palace Theatre, 1564 Broadway, map.
