Jean Georges, Le Bernardin, Masa, Per Se top Micehelin

michelin09.jpgIn only its fourth annual guide to NYC, the MICHELIN guide New York City 2009 now finds four restaurants with “exceptional cuisine” — Jean Georges, Le Bernardin, Masa and Per Se.

Momofuku Ko, Gilt and Adour Alain Ducasse join the two-star list, which also includes Adour, Daniel, Del Posto, Gordon Ramsay at The London and Picholine.

The one-star restaurants are Allen & Delancey, Alto, Annisa, Anthos, Aureole, Blue Hill, Café Boulud, Cru, Dressler, eighty one, Etats-Unis, Fiamma, Fleur de Sel, Gotham Bar & Grill, Gramercy Tavern, Insieme, Jewel Bako, JoJo, Kyo Ya, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, The Modern, Oceana, Perry Street, Peter Luger, Public, Saul, Spotted Pig, Sushi of Gari, Veritas, Wallsé and wd~50.

Mario Batali’s Babbo is nowhere on the list.

The guide, which goes on sale Tuesday, comes with a mobile phone option available through www.ubiubi.mobi.

The guide also includes a “Bib Gourmand” section, which highlights 58 restaurants where you can get two dishes and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less. (The Bib gourman restaurants are listed after the jump.)

In the other boroughs, only Brooklyn gets any stars: Saul, Peter Luger and Dressler each gets one. But only the Bronx is left out when it comes to the Bib Gourmand category. There are seven from Brooklyn, four from Queens (Jackson Diner, S’Agapo, Sripraphai and Zabb) and just one, Vida, on Staten Island.
