Two upcoming September oyster festivals for NYC

stonestreetdowntown.jpgJust a quick note about two upcoming oyster festivals that have just come to NewYorkology’s attention.

Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant has set September 20 for its Oyster Frenzy. The event starts around noon, and will run all day. Expect shucking contests, chef demonstrations and lots of wine and oysters.

Downtown, the Stone Street Oyster Festival will take place September 27, all day, starting at noon. Festivities will center around Ulysses, but nearby spots such as Harry’s Bar will take part as well.
