'Park Slope's own' Samantha Brown profiles Brooklyn

sambrown.jpgWho knew Travel Channel globetrotter Samantha Brown is a Brooklyn gal?

Apparently Borough President Marty Markowitz did. He sent over this plug for her show “Samantha Brown: Passport to Great Weekends — Brooklyn”, which will air this Thursday:
I have to be honest, I will not be watching the Republican Convention tomorrow night at 10pm—I will be tuning into TV’s real “must see” main event as Park Slope’s own Samantha Brown discovers Brooklyn tourist treasures like Coney Island’s Sideshows by the Seashore, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, our beautiful Prospect Park and the view from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, as well as great stores like “Flight 001,” and tasty emporia like One Girl Cookies and Black Mountain Wine House. And I ask you, what trip to Brooklyn would be complete without a visit to the most beautiful span of them all—the inspiration for many a poet and painter—of course, I’m talking about the one and only Brooklyn Bridge! How sweet it is!
I’m sure all Samantha Brown’s many fans nationwide will see that once you visit Brooklyn, U.S.A., you never Fuhgeddaboudit!
