New TKTS Times Square booth may open by October

tktsfrontsept.jpg

Playbill is reporting that the Theatre Development Fund hopes to finally reopen its long-delayed, overbudget TKTS discount theater booth in Times Square by late September — or early October.

On Tuesday, NewYorkology had a peak through the fence to check out the progress.

Until TKTS reopens in Duffy Square, there are three other locations:

Marriott Marquis Hotel, West 46th St. between Broadway and 8th Avenue
South Street Seaport, corner of Front and John Streets
Downtown Brooklyn, 1 MetroTech Center

Correction: This entry has updated with the correct name of the Theatre Development Fund, (not “Defense” Fun.)
