Mmmm beer: NY Craft Beer Week set for Sept. 12 - 21

nycraft.jpgRaise your glass, New York is getting its own Craft Beer Week.

Events include bar crawls, beer dinners and brewery tours.

The NY Craft Beer Week will run from September 12 through 21 - sandwiched amid the 3rd Annual NY Brewfest at the at the South Street Seaport (on the 12th) and the 2nd Annual Manhattan Cask Ale Festival at Chelsea Piers (from Sept. 19 through 21.)

Cleverly, you can buy Beer Week tickets based on the neighborhood where you plan to conduct your crawl. Each comes with its own map to the participating bars in the West Village, East Village, Lower East Side, Midtown, Upper West Side, Downtown Brooklyn, Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Park Slope. Tickets are $13 to $22 depending on neighborhood.

Participating brewers include Sixpoint of Brookyln, Chelsea Brewing Co, Brooklyn Brewery,, Blue Point Brewing Co., Dogfish Head Craft Brewery of Delaware, and Magic Hat Brewing Co. of Vermont.
