Free NY Phil, Pops, City Opera concerts at Bryant Park
Bryant Park today kicks off a new fall series of eight free classical music events showcasing the best of the fall culture season by the likes of the NY Philharmonic, the New York City Opera and the New York Pops.
The three-week series, New York Now, will be held on Bryant Park’s lawn, where tables and chairs will be allowed. The stage will be set up on Bryant Park’s Upper Terrace, at the back of the New York Public Library.
All shows will start at 5:30 p.m., except tonight’s inaugural show, which will start at 5 p.m.
Today, the lawn will open at 4 p.m. for tonight’s show, which will feature members of the New York Philharmonic playing Mozart’s “Clarinet Quintet” and Dvorák’s “American Quartet.”
