$45 helicopter transfer to JFK for Delta economy-class

helilogo.jpgDelta domestic economy-class passengers flying out of JFK Airport can now add a helicopter transfer from Manhattan for a mere $45, US Helicopter and the airline announced Tuesday.

The deal is good for tickets purchased after Sept. 1 for travel through Oct. 31. The 8-minute airport transfer from Manhattan normally costs $159 one way, but is free to Delta BusinessElite customers.

U.S. Helicopter passengers transferring to Delta flights have the added bonus of skipping JFK security, since the TSA has approved the U.S. Helicopter security at the Manhattan terminals. U.S. Helicopter flies from a heliport near Wall Street on the East River as well as the E. 34th Street Heliport, both heading to Delta’s Terminal 3, Gate 11 at Kennedy.

US Helicopter flies 260 flights each week to and from Manhattan, JFK, Newark Liberty International Airport and Bridgeport Sikorsky Memorial Airport serving Fairfield and New Haven counties.
