'Cry Baby' on Broadway seats at $54/$36 for previews

crybaby54.jpg

When John Waters' "Cry-Baby: The Musical" begins previews on Broadway this weekend, all orchestra-level seats will be priced at $54.

And they'll stay at that rate right up until the show's April 24 opening night.

That's when regular orchestra-level seats shift to $120.

Even cheaper, you can grab a seat in the mezzanine for $35 -- both during previews and after the show opens.

(If you're not buying at the box office, note that the Ticketmaster price breaks down this way: ticket price: $35, convenience charge: $7, building facility charge: $1.50.)

A good girl meets bad boy story set in Baltimore in 1954, "Cry-Baby" on Broadway is based on the Johnny Depp 1990 cult-favorite movie of the same name. The Broadway score is written by Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger and "Daily Show" writer David Javerbaum.

"Cry-Baby" will play the Marquis Theater in Times Square, 1535 Broadway, map.
