Greenwich Hotel rooms now $475 to $825 from April 1
Greenwich Hotel, the hotly-anticipated Tribeca hideout co-owned by Robert DeNiro, has added room availability for its targeted April 1 opening -- and at "soft-opening" prices as low as $475 a night.
When NewYorkology first spied that hotel website had gone live, the only room type available was the "superior room," and all those abodes for all listed dates were priced at $725.
Now your options also include courtyard rooms for $625; deluxe, Queen Greenwich or King Greenwich rooms for $775; or the Deluxe King Greenwich or Deluxe Queen Greenwich for $825. (The studio suite to penthouse offerings are not yet available for booking on the hotel's website.)
But if you select "soft-opening rate" from the pull-dowm menu on the reservations page, those prices magically morph to $475, $550, $575, $625 and $695. The website will let you book those soft-opening rates for stays through June 1.
The website is taking reservations for April 1 through 20; but then nothing until May 5, when the same rooms and rates are available. (The DeNiro-backed Tribeca Film Festival is scheduled for April 23 to May 4.)
However keep in mind that hotels in New York City rarely open on their targeted opening dates, re: The Plaza, Duane Street Hotel, Hotel le Bleu, 6 Columbus, etc.
