Strike notes Day 2 - Broadway tickets still on sale

Notes from the second day of the stagehands strike on Broadway:
Of the eight Broadway shows exempt from the strike, one still had discount tickets available Sunday afternoon at the TKTS booth at Times Square: "Xanadu" tickets were 25 percent off.

The next performance for "Mauritius" on Broadway is Tuesday. Tickets are still available at the box office.
"Mary Poppins" was entirely sold out for Sunday, including the standing room tickets.
(The five other shows exempt from the strike are "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," "Cymbeline," "Pygmalion," "The Ritz," and "Young Frankenstein.")
"If there is no respect at the table, then they will not see Local One at the table," - James Claffey, Jr., president of stagehands' union for IATSE Local One, at Sunday's news conference on the lack of negotiations to end the strike.
Duran Duran, which had a series of concerts scheduled at Broadway's Barrymore theater, has moved the remaining shows to the Roseland Ballroom, according to the band's website.
Technically, the lights aren't dim on Broadway. Even the shuttered shows had their neon lights as bright as usual on Sunday evening.
