The parade itself starts Thanksgiving morning at 9 a.m. But the day before, November 21, you can watch the balloon inflation from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Upper West Side on 77th and 81st streets between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade route starts at 77th Street and Cenral Park West, heading along Central Park to Columbus Circle and then down Broadway to 38th Street and into Herald Square. Fr o there it turns west on 34th Street, passing the block-long Macy's flagship story, concluding at 7th Avenue. After the parade, you can see the balloon deflation on many of the side streets near the end of the route.
