Serendipity 3 closed due to cockroaches, mice

Sweets shop Serendipity 3, which has been featured in the movies "One Fine Day" and natch, "Serendipity," has been closed down by the health department due to cockroaches and mice, according to reports from NY1, Gothamist and Eater.

Serendipity 3 was in the news last week for its $25,000 sundae, declared "the world’s most expensive dessert."

The October 22 inspection of the restaurant, (which is available online from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene,) also cites the presence of vermin, roaches and flying insects.
