Tickets go on sale for Keitel in Jerry Springer opera

springer.jpgTickets go on sale today at 11 a.m. for the January staging of "Jerry Springer -- The Opera“ at Carnegie Hall starring Harvey Keitel.

(Yes as improbable as that sentence sounds, you'd expect this next line to mention monkeys, anti-matter and pistol-whipping -- but no.)

The "mature audiences only" performances are January 29 and 30 only; tickets are priced from $59 to $175.

The musical was a huge hit in London.

(If the Carnegie Hall online ticketing page is still offline later today, order tickets by phone or at the box office.)
