The Plaza hotel opens reservations from $775 in Jan.
 As The Plaza races toward its centennial in October, scaffolding remains around the structure and workers are still busy polishing the gem on Central Park South.
Reservations are now being accepted by phone for January 1 onward with nightly rates in the $775 to $1,275 range -- even on Valentine's Day, which still has availability.
The reservation line is also keeping a waitliist for rooms that might become available from December 3 through 31.
Upon calling the reservation line today, NewYorkology was told the hotel will open with two bars and two restaurants, (including the Oak Bar and the Palm Court,) as well as a health club and spa operated by Caudalie.
